Pack Your Sample
After your blood draw, follow the Specimen Collection & Handling Procedures on the back of your requisition form to pack and return your sample properly.
Key reminders:
• Freeze all ice packs for at least 24 hours before collection and use all ice packs included in the kit.
• Packing varies by test and tube type.
• SST tubes (orange & black top) should be in direct contact with ALL frozen ice packs.
• All other tubes (ACD, LAV, BLU) should avoid direct contact with the ice packs.
