What exactly is the thyroid?

  • A butterfly shaped gland in the neck
  • Makes T3 , T4 and calcitonin (calcium regulating hormone)

  • Weight gain, even though you are not eating more food.
  • Increased sensitivity to cold.
  • Constipation.
  • Muscle weakness.
